This toy is made of nylon mixed with rubber. Solid nylon is so tough it's the material of choice to please the strongest and most determined dog in our pack. The shape of the bones makes it easy for dogs to bite. When a dog destroys everything, we've found that solid nylon presents them with the greatest challenge as the most fun dog toy. It's hard and bouncy, but still softer than your dog's teeth (tooth marks are nice and normal!) - perfect for dogs who like to really settle down and chew for a while. Soft rubber can help dogs clean their teeth. The combination of the two materials gives dogs two different ways of chewing. Because it's so hard, we don't recommend using it for strenuous activity, as throwing nylon toys is a great way to ruin your TV.
